Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Drooming (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use drooming.com and the Drooming learning app (the “Service”). We built Drooming for children to learn with an adult account in control.
1. Who is responsible
Drooming operates the Service at drooming.com. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@drooming.com.
2. Information we collect
Account holder
- Email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider)
- Display name when you sign up
- Subscription and billing status when paid plans are enabled
Hero profiles (learners)
- Name or nickname you choose for each hero profile
- Optional age band (6–8) and optional PIN to separate siblings
- Game progress: levels, scores, points, adventure progress, daily challenge results, activity history
Rooms
- Room names, join codes, assignments, and completion results when you use coach or join features
Technical data
- Basic device and browser information, and error logs needed to keep the Service running
3. What we do not collect
- We do not require a child’s full legal name, postal address, or phone number
- We do not track precise location or serve behavioural advertising to children
- We do not sell personal information
4. How we use information
We use data to:
- Provide the Service: save progress, sync across devices, run games and rooms
- Authenticate accounts and enforce plan limits
- Process subscriptions when billing is enabled
- Send service emails such as account confirmation and welcome messages
- Send marketing emails about Drooming only if you opt in at signup (you can unsubscribe via any marketing email)
- Improve reliability and fix bugs
- Respond to support requests
5. Children’s privacy and parental consent
Children should use Drooming only through a hero profile on an account created by a guardian, teacher, or other authorized adult. By creating an account and hero profiles, you represent that you have authority to consent to the collection of learner data as described here, in line with applicable laws such as GDPR (EU) and COPPA (US) where they apply.
You can review, update, or delete hero profiles and progress from within the app. To remove the entire account and all cloud data, use Delete account on the hero picker (after signing in), or contact us.
6. Cloud sync and storage
When cloud sync is enabled, hero profile data is stored in our database (hosted via Supabase) and linked to your account. Progress may also be stored locally on your device. You can sign out to stop syncing on a device, or delete your account from the hero picker to remove cloud data permanently.
7. Third-party services
We use trusted providers to operate the Service, including:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting
- RevenueCat / Stripe — subscription billing when paid plans are active
- Resend — transactional email (welcome, auth via Supabase SMTP)
- Brevo — marketing email list for users who opt in at signup
- Hosting — e.g. Vercel or similar for serving the website and app
These providers process data on our instructions and under their own privacy terms where applicable.
8. Data retention
We keep account and progress data while your account is active. If you delete a hero profile or request account deletion, we remove or anonymize associated data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or billing purposes.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access to cloud data, and row-level security so accounts can only access their own profiles. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep it private.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, object to certain processing, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email hello@drooming.com.
11. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the European Union, United States, or other countries. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards where required by law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
